One year left for 100th anniversary…

While that's a long time for a human life, 99 years is still young for a Republic. Just before the 100th anniversary, the TFSF Board of Directors concluded the “Republican Exhibition”, which we organized for the third time this year. As you know, the only award of this prestigious exhibition for people who have devoted themselves to photography as amateurs or professionals is the honor of being chosen among the number of photographs as old as our Republic. On behalf of the TFSF management, I heartily congratulate the 99 people whose photographs were chosen this year.

This year, a total of 560 people, 178 women and 382 men, from our 64 provincial centers and our citizens living abroad, participated with 1077 photographs, much more than in other years. We thank them. Our esteemed photographers and professors, who, in accordance with our rules, will only be a member of the selection committee for this exhibition, have selected 99 photographs from among this participation. On behalf of the management, I would like to thank Orhan Cem Çetin, Cengiz Karlıova and Uğur Günay Yavuz once again for this election and their efforts.

In these exhibitions, as the Turkish Photography Art Federation Administration, aimed to record successful works in the art of photography in Turkey, and today's photography, just before the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our Republic.

The exhibition photos of the last two years of these exhibitions, which I had the honor of curating for the third time as the President of the TFSF, were published and delivered to the participants. We will work to publish the photos selected for this year's exhibition.

On behalf of the Turkish Photographic Art Federation Administration, we once again express our gratitude to the founders of our Republic, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who gave us this freedom and whose value we increasingly appreciate every day.
