STATE OF RESPECT...

As the TFSF Board of Directors, we have been aiming to reach out to everyone who is dealing with the art of photography as much as our federation associations. As a strong unification of the construction of the work, we continue education without hesitation. Our Republic is at the forefront of what can be accomplished with our well-managed staff.

This exhibition, which we have decided to open on the "29 October Republic Day" every year since this year, contains many features. First of all, as the Turkish Photographic Arts Federation administration, we aimed to record successful works in the art of photography in Turkey, and to transfer it to future generations, as the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our Republic approaches. This exhibition is our humble artistic homage to our Republic, which gave us the opportunity to engage in artistic pursuits, to everyone who contributed to its establishment, to those who fell martyrs on this path.

Our exhibition is not a competition, it is a prestige exhibition. Considering the principle of equality provided by the Republic, we have enabled every citizen who produces photographs in our country to present their photographs in every technique, on every subject, without any restrictions. The only prize of our exhibition is the honor of being chosen among the photographs as many as the age of our Republic. This year, between 15 - 25 October 2020, 618 people from our 66 provincial centers and our citizens living abroad participated with 1171 photographs. We thank them. Our esteemed professors, who will be a member of the selection committee only once in our exhibition project, as per our rules, selected 97 photographs from among this participation, in three stages. On behalf of the management I would like to thank once again for this election and their efforts, which took place in the virtual environment due to the pandemic, Prof. Emre İkizler, Assoc. Dr. A. Beyhan Özdemir and Assoc. Dr. Gülbin Özdamar Akarçay. 

I believe that this first exhibition, which I had the honor of curating as TFSF President, will continue with increasing excitement and importance as long as our Republic lives. On behalf of the Turkish Photographic Arts Federation administration, I would like to express my gratitude to the founders of our Republic, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who gave us this freedom and whose value we increasingly appreciate every day, and I bow respectfully before them.
