Biography

She was born in 1980 in Izmir. She completed her undergraduate studies in Ege University Art History Department, her master's degree in Dokuz Eylül University Photography Department, and her PhD in Ege University Art History Department. Since 2009, she has been working as a lecturer at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Photography and Video Department. She continues her studies in the fields of alternative photographic printing techniques such as cyanotype, van dyke brown, gum bichromate, history of photography, photography theory and analog photography. In 2014 and 2016, she participated in the international photography conference Helsinki Photomedia held at Aolto University with her papers. In 2017, she opened her personal exhibition titled “Panoramic Traces” at the Lomography Embassy Store in Galata, Istanbul. She has participated in international photography festivals with her photographs: “Istanbul Blue” at FotoIstanbul in 2017, “Silent Blue” at the 9th BursaFotoFest in 2019, and “A Box of Found Glass Following the Negative” exhibition at the 10th BursaPhotoFest in 2020. Her series "Istanbul Blue" was published in the international art design magazine "212 Magazine" and was exhibited at the Art Gallery of the Art History Department of the University of Amsterdam in 2019. She held cyanotype and analog photography workshops at Fotoistanbul, 212 Photography Festival, Fkare'08 Photography Festival, Özyeğin University Photography Days and Amsterdam University in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
